Originally from Brasília, the capital of Brazil, Sabrina brings joy, organization, and a heart for service to her role as 1st B Kids Administrative Assistant. She and her family moved to Eugene in March 2019 when her husband accepted a position at the University of Oregon.
Sabrina holds a degree in Business Administration, along with postgraduate certifications in Strategic Planning and Human Resources. Before coming to the U.S., she spent nearly 20 years working in HR in Brazil, where she developed a strong background in leadership and team support.
Sabrina and her husband Paulo have been married for 18 years. Their story began at work and in college—he used to ask for her class notes just to strike up conversation! Years later, they’re building a beautiful life together in Oregon with their energetic 11-year-old son, also named Paulo, who keeps them on their toes and fills their home with laughter and activity.
Sabrina loves spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, and visiting Brazil whenever she can. She’s always happy to share about her culture—and if you’ve never been to Brazil, she’ll be the first to tell you: you absolutely should go!
Trevor serves as our Facilitiy Director, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in facility management across manufacturing and event spaces. Born in Oregon and raised in Southeast Alaska, Trevor “escaped life on the rock” and returned to Oregon in 2014, eventually relocating to Eugene in 2019 with his wife, Rachel.
In addition to his expertise in facilities, Trevor is an OSHA trainer, Cisco technician, Apple Product Professional, and a former law enforcement officer. His diverse skill set reflects his commitment to safety, technology, and operational excellence.
Trevor and Rachel—who has served as a nurse in the IDD community for over 10 years—have two sons: Elias, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, and Gabriel, who will graduate high school in 2026. Their household also includes two dogs: Fiona, Trevor’s loyal “road dog,” and Charlie, a homebody pug with potato-sack vibes.
When not keeping things running smoothly at First B, Trevor enjoys working on home improvement projects, tending to his hobby farm, fishing, welding, and wrenching on just about anything with moving parts.
Heidi serves as our Groups Ministry Assistant, bringing over 30 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant and a heart for encouraging connection and community. Originally from Mt. Shasta, California, Heidi moved to Eugene at 17 and has called it home ever since.
She holds an AAS in Administrative Assisting and has dedicated her career to supporting others through organization, hospitality, and care. Heidi is married to her husband Allan, and together they have two amazing adult children, Jordan and Hailey.
In her free time, Heidi enjoys crafting, bike rides, movie nights, and meaningful moments with her family and best friend—especially over a good cup of coffee. Her favorite Bible verse is Numbers 6:24–26:
“May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.”
Ellen serves as Accountant at First B, bringing a love for numbers, organization, and thoughtful service to the team. A lifelong resident of Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley, Ellen grew up in the scenic Coburg Hills of Harrisburg and has called Eugene and Springfield home for over a decade.
She holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and also spent a year at New Hope Christian College with a focus on missions—an experience that continues to shape her values and perspective. Since 2017, Ellen has worked in the accounting field, gaining experience in tax preparation, payroll, and bookkeeping.
Outside of work, Ellen is a proud aunt to three wonderful nephews who bring endless joy to her life. She enjoys relaxing with lighthearted TV shows but finds deeper refreshment in nature walks, quality time with loved ones, live theater, and a good puzzle, word game, or round of cards.
Ellen is honored to serve in a role that supports the mission and ministry of First B from behind the scenes—with excellence, heart, and faithfulness.
Abby is our Activities Director + Youth Assistant, bringing energy, compassion, and a heart for community to everything she does. Originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, Abby moved to Eugene in June 2022 to work at Camp Harlow—and quickly found a second home here.
She holds a degree in Social Work and Christian Missions from Campbellsville University. Her background includes work in kids’ therapy, guest services at Camp Harlow, and coaching youth soccer, all of which reflect her passion for helping young people grow and thrive.
Abby loves being outdoors—whether it’s hiking, camping, playing soccer, or anything involving water. She’s also always up for planning and taking road trips with friends. Though her family is back in Kentucky, she’s found a meaningful and supportive community here in Eugene.
Tim serves as the IT Systems Administrator at First B, where he ensures the technology and systems behind the scenes run smoothly and securely. Born and raised right here in Eugene, Timothy has been part of the First B community since the 4th grade.
He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Oregon and has previously served on the FBC Facilities Team, giving him a well-rounded perspective on church operations and support. With a heart for service and a mind for tech, Timothy is passionate about using his skills to help the church stay connected and effective in ministry.
Jen serves as our Music + Worship Coordinator, blending a rich background in music education, performance, and ministry. Originally from Willow, Alaska, Jen moved to Eugene in 1999 for graduate studies and has been part of the community ever since.
She holds a B.M.Ed. in Music Education from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and both an M.M. and D.M.A. in Vocal Performance from the University of Oregon, with a secondary emphasis in Music History. Jen has taught general music in public schools and provided vocal instruction both privately and at the collegiate level (UO and Bushnell University). Her experience also includes roles in ministry and administration.
Outside of her work, Jen enjoys reading, music, light hiking, and experimenting in her garden—even if her green thumb is still a work in progress. She and her husband Jimmy have been married since 2003 and share life with their daughter and two senior cats.
Nina brings a diverse background and a love of detail to her role as Accounting Assistant at First B. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and raised in Pahoa, Hawaii, Nina moved to Eugene in 1994 to begin work with Holt International. She now lives in Junction City, Oregon, and continues to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest.
Nina holds a Bachelor of Science in General Studies–Interdisciplinary and has worn many hats over the years—working in communications, graphic design, general services, facilities and vendor coordination, accounts payable and receivable, daily cash receipts, and even remote customer service. She also served as a cook for the Fern Ridge School District, reflecting her hands-on approach and heart for serving others.
Outside of work, Nina is a creative at heart. Her current passion is woodturning on the lathe, and she’s a lifelong “band geek” who loves singing in groups. She enjoys audiobooks but still appreciates the feel of a good old-fashioned paper book. Nina bowls at least once a year on her birthday, and while her golf clubs may be dusty, her sense of fun and curiosity is always active.
Nina is glad to be part of the First B team, helping keep the books balanced and the mission moving forward.
Abby serves as our College Women’s Director, bringing energy, creativity, and a deep heart for ministry. Originally from just outside Houston, Texas, Abby moved to Eugene in August 2023 to begin working with college students and building meaningful connections on campus.
She holds a B.S. in Christian Leadership and Church Ministry from Liberty University, and her background includes experience in youth ministry and teaching dance. Abby is passionate about helping young women grow in faith and community.
Outside of work, Abby enjoys taking dance classes, doing hand embroidery, and diving into a good fiction book. She’s also an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking and exploring national parks. She’s engaged to her fiancé, Cade, and they’re excited to get married in August!
Katelyn serves as our Communications Director, bringing a creative eye and a versatile background to the role. Originally from San Jose, California, Katelyn earned her B.A. in Creative Arts from San Jose State University before relocating to Eugene, Oregon in 2009. What began as a temporary move quickly became permanent, and Eugene has been home ever since.
Katelyn has worked across a variety of industries, developing a well-rounded approach to communication and strategy. In addition to her work here, she also runs an independent travel company, where she channels her passion for planning and exploration into unforgettable experiences for clients.
Katelyn has been married to her husband Mike since 2008 and they have two energetic boys, Sawyer (11) and Hudson (8). Their household is rounded out by two beloved dogs: Charlie the pug and Joey the goldendoodle.
In addition to her communications role, Katelyn leads worship here at First B. Outside of church life, she enjoys traveling (especially to Disney), playing fantasy football, watching F1 races, and making memories with her family.
Originally from Quito, Ecuador, Camila brings creativity, energy, and a love for connection to her role as Digital Content Coordinator at First B. She moved to Hillsboro, Oregon in July 2021 at the age of 15, and later made her way to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon, where she’s currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology.
While most of her family still lives in Ecuador, Camila has found a vibrant and supportive community here in Eugene—and she’s passionate about using digital platforms to help others feel connected and encouraged.
Outside of her work and studies, Camila loves to travel, explore the outdoors, hike, and spend time anywhere near water. The Oregon coast is one of her favorite places, and nothing beats a good day by the ocean. She also loves simply spending time with friends and building meaningful relationships.
Camila is excited to be part of the First B team, using her gifts to help share stories, build community, and reflect the heart of the church online.
Born and raised in Eugene, Kristi brings deep roots, a heart for service, and a lifelong connection to the First B community to her role as Interim Women’s Ministry Coordinator. A proud graduate of the University of Oregon, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations.
Kristi spent 12 years as a marketing coordinator for a local blood center before stepping into the full-time role of stay-at-home mom—and enthusiastic volunteer. Whether it’s at school, church, or in the community, Kristi has a passion for showing up, helping out, and building relationships.
She and her husband Sean have been married for 18 years and have two awesome kids: Joanna (13) and Brian (10), plus a cat who keeps life interesting. As a family, they love being outdoors—camping, boating, biking, hiking, and taking their Jeep to the dunes whenever they get the chance. You can also find them cheering loudly from the sidelines at their kids’ sporting events and activities.
A member of First B since childhood, Kristi is excited and honored to serve the women of the church in this season—encouraging connection, faith, and community.
Nancy is a proud native Oregonian who has lived in every corner of the state—but she’s called Eugene home since 1986, when her husband Doug was hired by the Fire Department. She graduated from McNary High School in Keizer and went on to attend Oregon State University.
With over 43 years of experience as a bookkeeper and two decades of faithful service in the First B business office, Nancy brings invaluable expertise and heart to her role as Human Resources and Executive Assistant. She has also served in various roles with Bible Study Fellowship, reflecting her deep commitment to spiritual growth and discipleship.
Nancy and Doug met on a blind date and have been happily married for 44 years. They have two grown children, five beloved grandchildren, and three fur pups who add even more fun to the mix. Whether it’s camping, fishing, or just hanging out, Nancy and Doug are always looking for the next opportunity to spend time with their grandbabies, family, and friends.
She’s also a big baseball fan and loves catching a good game whenever she can. Nancy is grateful to be part of the First B team and loves serving the church she calls home.
